Present Joys [Vinyl] (ONLINE ORDER ONLY)

Longtime friends and collaborators Dave Douglas and Uri Caine come together for Present Joys, an intimate trumpet-piano outing inspired by the Sacred Harp tradition. Featuring repertoire from shape-note tunebooks as well as several new Douglas compositions undertaken in the same vein, the album’s captivating conversation is informed by the unadorned beauty of these beautiful melodies.
